Saigon Day three

Lovely start to the day taking the kiddies to Andrew for superb coffee. It is a leisurely process and the kiddies were impressed. We spoke to him about authentic Vietnamese food, so Andrew insisted on giving us lunch. We were back early given that next door had really pumped up the karaoke machine. Andrew explained that lots of the food was pre-prepared by chemical cooking and proceeded to give us a banquet. He was kind enough to give us lots of explanation about the various dishes. The big hit was pork and bean in sticky rice – sensational.

In the evening, at my request, we went to Hard Rock Cafe. I have been wanting to go to one since the first one opened in 1971. I bloody loved it. Plenty of guitars and a scarf owned by Hendrix! The kiddies were glad to have a Western meal and Madeleine bought her cocktail glass. The cafe had posters of glamorous young people jumping out the front so we tried to recreate it. We didn’t do so well.

Back home via the Tet lights for big giggle fits over the pick.
