So today Bino arranged a private tour for us with Tu as a guide. We started at Thap Ba, a popular Hindu Temple. Fortunately we got there early before the tourist crush. It is a large complex that sold some groovy pottery but the problem is taking it home.
Then on to Lin Urg Pagoda. It’s very nice but we’re getting a bit used to them. There were a few orphan boys there.
From there to Tien Du which was terrific. It’s out of the way and very beautiful. We met two were orphan boys who were very, very nice. They showed us their English school work. The boys had the keys to the Temple and showed us around.
For lunch, Tu wanted me to go to a floating fishing hut.I did via a very small pontoon. She then took us to her house where her sister cooked the soft shelled crabs I bought. Yum. But by that time, the heat was getting to us, so it was back to air conditioning, pool and happy hour.
